Sleigh-Bells-End-Of-The-Line-Video

Now, I don’t know about you, but I loved Sleigh Bells’ debut. It was kind of a perfect mess of the hipster en vogue. The problem for Alexis and Derek was time. Time is a bastard, because times passes regardless. Plenty of people float along obliviously to it, but some people pay attention, and with time often comes change. Sleigh Bells haven’t changed. If anything, they’ve got worse since their debut. They were always hipster darlings, but the new video for ‘End Of The Line’ is filled with so many “cool” clichés that it just becomes obsolete. The focus puller is having a field day, the wardrobe department got to tick the essential boxes for ‘denim’, ‘Raybans’ and ‘floaty dresses’, the props guy got to source an 80s BMX, and the whole thing is shot in tantalising slow motion. If I had a band, and could pick up a camera to shoot a new video, this is exactly what I’d do. I’m no filmmaker though, and I don’t have any records to sell either, I guess I just expected something a bit more interesting.
