Introducing Death Rattle, “electronic doom pop” duo formed in late 2011. Compromised of Helen Sargent and Chris Hamilton (both former members of That Mouth), the London-based duo have been producing eerie electronica sounds for merely a few months. With sharp vocal harmonies, piercing percussive samples and the equivalent of an all-you-can-eat bass buffet, the duo create a spectacularly haunting rendition of Fleetwood Macs’ ‘The Chain’ (Rumours, ’77). Despite being predominantly minimalistic in some senses, Helens flawless vocal harmonies combined with an instrumental that creeps up on you throughout the song create a truly magnificent three minutes of music.
