Video: These New Puritans – Organ Eternal

Everything that comes out from These New Puritans at the moment just feels right. And so it is here on their music video, uploaded yesterday via their Youtube channel, for ‘Organ Eternal’ from the brilliant Field of Reeds. Directed by Willy Vandenperre, we see Jack Barnett playing his keyboard/piano from every angle on a pure minimalist white background, then images of a girl with colour grading trees veer in and out. The final shot is brilliant too, with colours and shapes fading lusciously in and out as the girl runs from the camera. It perfectly encapsulates the joie de vivre of the music, as the video for ‘Fragment Two’ caught its timeless grandeur. TNP are maintaining a phenomenally high artistic watermark that they have set for themselves in 2013; this is a band at the top of their game.
