Django-Django-Hand-Of-Man-Video

Next month Django Django headline the NME Tour alongside Miles Kane, Palma Violets and Peace. Since the release of their debut self-titled album nearly a year ago, Django Django have appeared in many album of 2012 lists, and achieved some pretty high praise. Five singles soon followed and ‘Hand Of Man’ is reportedly going to be the sixth.

This latest offering by director (and drummer David’s brother) John Maclean sees the Scottish boys filmed on black and white Super 8 film making bread in Elephant and Castle. There is little more I ask for in a video. Mellow and acoustic, the track fades out to make way for birdsong, baking and picnics. It’s an art video for an art band. There’s clapping, it’s grainy, and the song was already terribly nostalgic without the retrospective cinematography. Missing 2012 already, boys?
