Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes

Forget duos, four-pieces, in fact any of that single figure nonsense, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros are a twelve strong super group. And in new track ‘In The Lion’ that big sound utilises every one of them. I’m beginning to think (hope) that the multi-layered choral track was going to become a ‘The Lion Sleeps Tonight’ mash up around half way through. It’s close, and I think it’s definitely channeled, but it’s definitely an ES&TMZ number. The band’s first two albums, as well as their unforgettable live performances, have awarded them a loyal fan base, and their latest album has already reached number 5 across the pond with it’s US release last month.

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros is released August 26th via Gentleman Of The Road. Follow the links below to check out the other online UK premieres, and listen out for the other tracks across the world wide web.
