A very happy Bastille day/Dan’s birthday! To celebrate, Bastille have released a typically cryptic video for album track ‘Things We Lost in the Fire’. Pivoting around a bullet in the desert, the narrative jumps around considerably, from a tense bit in a bar with a creepy girl who breaks the fourth wall to a road trip with all the ladz. It doesn’t seem to end terribly well and long story short, there’s a big ol’ pool of what is presumably blood, from an unspecified source. There ain’t a fire though, so maybe it’s metaphorical.
