Ever had one of those days when you’ve wished you were sitting in a wood illuminated solely by fluorescent tube lights strobing in time with Justin Vernon’s voice? Of course you have. Everyone has. And as a result, Volcano Choir‘s latest will be ideal for you. The artsy minimalism is somewhat hypnotic, and Vernon’s voice is, as ever, spot on. With arching vocals and the slowest crescendo of instrumentals which quickly fades right back out, ‘Byegone’ is a beautiful track.
