Not strictly the new music fix you might have been after when you quite wisely navigated here, although there is a tenuous link to DYC fave’s Bastille

Out the Woods Clothing is a relatively new sartorial adventure, began last year following significant happenings in the life of co-founder Richard Mutimer, and is pretty much the best example of why you should start turning your head away from those greedy bastards Topman et al for your wardrobe requirements. Just listen to this from Richard: “I run it with three of my best mates, Andy Waterhouse, Olly Page and Oli Shilling – we like to call it a social venture as a lot of our friends get involved, mainly with the modelling side of things”. Sounds pretty special right? Not only that, it’s 100% in aid of The British Heart Foundation. Oli Shilling designs their very original range with David Litchfield, an external illustrator, with tee’s also being designed by new and established bands like Bear Cavalry, Bastille and Black Sands.

Out the Woods are set to re-stock most of their entire range in the next two weeks, including a tee designed in aid of a school in South Africa that was recently home to Richard and Olly (and you’ll even get a thankyou postcard from the kids with your parcel). They’re also set to represent at Nottingham’s Dot to Dot festival in June, with the line to reach shops soon.

It’s a genuinely good cause, and some pretty fine threads too. Check it out.
