Teen-Daze-Union-feat-Frankie-Rose

Teen Daze – ‘Jamison’ to his friends – has announced his arrival into the indie garage scene by teaming up with one of the main players in the indie garage scene, Frankie Rose (Dum Dum Girls, Vivian Girls, Crystal Stilts and her own recently released solo thing), leaving electronic first album of this year behind him. I’m sure those in the electronic biz won’t lament this loss too much.

What we have here though is a pleasantly melodic single that rips through the opening minute and a half, lost in its own reverb, before breaking down into a much slower trundle, lost in its own reverb. We don’t hear much of Frankie Rose, drowned as she is in the reverb; okay, okay so Frankie Rose sounds like that in every other song she sings in, but the results would have been more interesting if the guest star took a more prominent role in the final sonic arrangement. Still, listen to it because it is a happy song.

Teen Daze’s newest album of 2012 The Inner Mansions comes out November 6th on his own Cultus Vibes label.
