I stumbled upon this very special remix of Keaton Henson’s amazing ‘You don’t know how lucky you are’ and decided I’d share this wonder.
The remix gives a slow glo-fi twist on the original. Washy guitar introduces Keaton’s vocals with the selected parts of original guitar underneath reverbing and being lost in the wash.
A slow build up of natural wood percussion and claps brings us into this dreamy marching drum arrangement. Met by a strong bassline following the melody helping you to sail along.
Also if you listen really carefully there is what sounds like a low-level toy piano giving that little bit of extra which I like to hear in songs.
So all in all this gets my vote and should get yours too.
