Gathering-Festival-2012-Pre

This brand new, one day festival nestled in Oxford’s Cowley Road venues looks like a cracker. With a rich line up of some of DYC’s favourites for the positively ridiculously cheap price of £20 (or £15 if you’re the lucky owner of a postcode in the OX4 area), this is well worth checking out. Seriously. £20 for Dry The River, Lucy Rose, Bastille, Jake Bugg, The Staves and Luke Sital Singh is already cracking value, not to mention the other 32 acts. Just when you thought the festival season was over, right?

Now we know you’re already sold so we’d like to highly recommend catching the following acts.

The Staves

The Staves have been beautiful at the other festivals we’ve seen them at this summer, charismatic and charming, and just really bloody good.

Clock Opera

Clock Opera are one of the many gems on Moshi Moshi Records, and the London quartet should be an auditory treat.

Swiss Lips

We like these guys exclusively and entirely for the man in this video. Learn these moves. Imagine if the whole crowd rocked out like this to their set. It would be epic.

Obviously you already know to see Bastille, Jake Bugg and Lucy Rose. We mention them enough. The whole thing is going to be good so just wander about and seeing what’s happening. You won’t be disappointed.

October 20th, Oxford. Go.
